Yes, it's another blog about the Google. Don't worry; you can do something useful in between episodes of True Blood.
So Google Reader, have you seen this? Have you heard about this?*
I'm kind of a big nerd. And as a requirement of such a position, you need to be kept aware of all things nerdy around the tech world. With that said, I go to a lot of websites every day to stay on the up and up. It's time consuming trying to watch 30 or so websites during the day. And there's nothing that makes me want to dropkick someone more than when they break news to me about something I should have known.
Well friends, rest easy. Those days are a thing of the past. But I know what you're thinking. ‘Matt, Google Reader has been out forever, you dope.' And to that I say; meet me in the parking lot. Listen I know that makes me behind the times but at least I made it. Google Reader allows you to track all of your favorite websites in one easy to manage place. (On Googles own website of course.) It pulls in the website's RSS feed and updates when there are new posts for you to read. So I follow the TrigonIT blog, which is amazing by the way, and when that's updated it will say Trigon Technology (1) in a handy little sidebar. Maybe for others it will say True Blood Fan Club (134). But don't worry, I'm not judging.
It makes it very easy to track a lot of websites on a daily basis and saves me a ton of time. On the other hand, it's just another tool that allows Google to track your internet habits. It's not like it can get any worse than Google Voice transcribing my voicemails for me, right? Right?
