It's official. The much anticipated Windows 7 Operating System is already making its mark. After the letdown known as Vista left many people feeling that their operating system was subpar, Windows 7 is coming out as a much needed antidote. And it's coming out with a bang.
The Windows 7 presale has begun and the BBC is reporting that Windows 7, in its still very young presale period, has largely blown away the presale numbers of Vista. Put it this way, Windows 7 has reportedly sold more copies in eight hours than Vista did in a 17 week span. The OS will find its place on retailer's shelves on October 22nd, 2009, the same day that the preordered copies will be shipped.
