Do you fully utilize your resources? Do you have end users in your organization that are more adept working with computers and applications than other users? These are your Super End Users (SEU's).
Working in IT Support you need all the help you can get. Especially if you are a consultant that is not on-site all the time. This is where SEU's come into play. Most people who are computer savvy are willing to help out when needed.
It may be beneficial to identify your SEU's and give them some limited special privileges. You can grant them privileges to unlock a user account but not the privilege to reset a password. You can allow them to look at certain event logs. You may or may not want them to be able to restart Services. It is entirely up to you as the IT Professional.
If you do utilize SEU's make sure they are aware of their responsibilities. Give them a fancy title like Goto Guru, etc. Most of all make sure you show them appreciation privately and publicly.
